Ashley is a Senior Consulting Actuary and Account Director with over 30 years’ of actuarial consulting experience.
Ashley manages a number of large client relationships with an emphasis on the Canadian energy, mining and telecommunications sectors.
Ashley has extensive experience advising federally and rate regulated clients on employee benefit and related risk management matters, including plan governance, rate recovery strategies and rate case support. He has appeared as an expert witness on behalf of clients before the Ontario Energy Board, the Alberta Utilities Commission and the National Energy Board.
A native of England, Ashley is a graduate of Cambridge University, having received both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with Honours in Mathematics.
Ashley is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, the Institute of Actuaries (UK), and the Society of Actuaries (US). He is an active member of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) and has served as a member of several committees, including: the Pension Plan Financial Reporting Committee, the Program Committee and the Committee for Rules of Professional Conduct. In 2005 he was appointed by the Board of the CIA to serve a 5 year term on the Committee on Professional Conduct, the disciplinary body of the CIA.
