I am an Airbus A319/A320/A321 Captain at Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates.
I graduated from Brentwood College in 1991 and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott, Arizona. Over a 20-year career span during which I have lived and worked in eight different countries, I have worked as a flight dispatcher, flight and ground instructor, air-taxi, corporate, regional airline and major airline pilot. More recently, I was awarded a Master of Science degree in Air Transport Management from City University London.
When I am not at work flying the big jets I am often to be found, wrench and instruction manual in hand, trying to piece together an ultralight aircraft in a dark corner of my home, flying or instructing in gliders, ultralight aircraft, or gyrocopters, SCUBA diving or traveling the World. I currently reside in Abu Dhabi with my wife, Li.
My presentation during Careers Day 2015 will be about professions in the civil aviation industry and, more specifically, as a pilot.
